design challenge: the criteria was to demo an existing art
gallery and build out the 4000 s.f. of commercial space in a
condominium high-rise within a time frame of three months.
NCC had previously built out a commercial space for this
client, at another location. Collaborating with a large
architectural firm, limited on-site parking, interior-only
courtyard access and restrictive condo board rules were all
elements that had to be addressed regularly while trying to
achieve the goal of project completion on schedule.
design solution: Architectural drawings were carefully
executed throughout each phase of the project. Response to
problems that arose had to be addressed in a timely manner.
Coordination of subcontractors and review of their work was
critical. Daily on-site project management was essential.
The finished work speaks for itself. The visual creativity
that flowed from the company owners through the architectural
firm and then through NCC results in a space that offers
uniqueness, diversity and freedom of expression to employees
and clients alike.
